Still The Life
Still the life within your eyes
As high above the lightning flies
Across the sky, in heaven's keep
High above, the angels sleep
And down below, the horses stand
The rain falls down, to soak the land
To bring the green, and purge the dry
The birds are silent, the cattle lie
The rain falls down in it's endless dance
To plummet with it's eternal romance
Ashes to ashes, and ashes we cry
We of the realm where death sits high
Upon the throne of eternal flame
Will burn the ropes that will restrain
Ebony eyes, who watch the rain
That the grasses will retain
To take the dead, and make new life
To take your pain, and take your strife
For rain falls down, and washes away
The burning sun of our today
The horses stand, the life is stilled
The flames within the water killed
But clouds will blow, and blow away
All we have is now, today
Tomorrow now will never be
Now is all there is, you see
For life is stilled, and life will cease
Lion's claws and lambs soft fleece
Embrace the rain, don't wish it away
Remember all you have is today
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Live life as it is, and learn to trust
That all will shine now anew
When skies aren't gray, the skies are blue
Take it simply as it will come
And down the road the horses drum
To run once more through emerald grass
Below a sky of sapphire glass
Patterned with clouds of translucent cream
Within our life's eternal dream
